Our approach

We publish original discovery guides and maintain a directory of New Orleans places. Guides distinguish editorial suggestions from official venue information. We link to original sources so readers can check changeable details.

Automation and review

Some stories are assembled automatically from directory information; others may use AI-assisted drafting. Automated guides are labeled. Automation does not replace a venue’s current opening notices or official event announcements.

Official directory sources are scheduled for checks every six months. Changed, restricted or unavailable sources enter a review queue. A website responding successfully does not prove a business is open. We do not remove a listing solely because a request fails.

Events and visiting details

The annual calendar uses recurring planning seasons. Festival dates, admission, access and performances must be confirmed with organizers. Weather observations and forecasts display their providers and timestamps.

Reviews, photographs and advertising

Google Maps links help readers find current visitor reviews. We do not invent star ratings or copy review excerpts without authorization. Photographs are licensed or credited to their sources; some are historical. Branded guide illustrations are identified as illustrations.

Advertising supports the site. Advertising placement does not guarantee editorial endorsement. Any sponsored editorial feature should be clearly labeled.
